The Friday night will be taken over by fifties/sixties DJ collective Blackstripe. In collaboration with Shoot Me, Blackstripe, consisting of Magere Mau (The Deaf) & Johnny Thunder (DutchSkateboards), have chosen the films Don’t Make Waves & Thunder Alley, with among others Annette Funicello & Sharon Tate. Produced in the sixties, these movies are full of swing, go-go, California scenery, car and motorbike stunts, and sixties music by ‘The Band Without A Name’ and ‘The Byrds’. After the movies, we will keep this vibe going with a venue that has been completely turned into a vintage & vinyl market, with the appropriate 50’s and 60’s rock ’n roll, exotica, beat, surf rock, rockabilly and garage by Blackstripe. The highlight of the evening is the performance by TIKI HEADS (Guitar Chop Shop in collaboration with Vavoom Tikiroom), a new band from The Hague, which will create a local earthquake with their raw garage/surf sound! Blackstripe will conclude the evening, probably making you dust off your old records in the morning to prolong the afterglow of this great evening.
