About Shoot me

Last year, the Shoot Me Film Festival presented, for the fifth time, a fresh, challenging programme focused around independent film. Independent filmmakers' takes on topics of relevance were presented in unexpected locations, such as a tram tunnel and a riding school. But Shoot Me presented more than just film. Special themed programmes created a stimulating blend of humour, food, music and parties to create a complete experience that appeals to all the senses, in a four-dimensional filmic sensation. The festival centred around meeting. Meetings with new people and new places, but above all with new worlds and subcultures. Impressions of far away places were suddenly brought right up close and personal! To celebrate its fifth anniversary, last year the festival setted its sights even higher. For example, with the introduction of competition programmes for best film and best music video. With more than a hundred films and documentaries in the wide range of themed programmes presented at truly exceptional locations, last year's festival was a massively inspirational experience. The Shoot Me Film Festival opened up previously unexplored terrain: Trespassing is allowed!

Het Shoot Me Film Festival presenteerde afgelopen jaar voor de vijfde keer een uitdagend en fris programma rond independent films. Op onverwachte locaties, zoals een tramtunnel en manege, kon je kennismaken met de scherpe visie van filmmakers op actuele onderwerpen. En er was meer dan alleen film. Speciale themaprogramma's met een spannende combinatie van humor, diner, muziek en feest maakten de ervaring compleet. Alle zintuigen werden geprikkeld in een vierdimensionale filmbeleving. Ontmoeting stond gedurende het hele festival centraal. Ontmoeting met nieuwe mensen, nieuwe locaties, maar vooral met nieuwe werelden en subculturen. Ver van je bedshows kwamen ineens extreem dichtbij! Zoals het een vijfjarige betaamt, heeft het festival afgelopen jaar flink van zich laten horen. Zo waren er voor het eerst competities voor zowel beste film als muziekvideoclip. Ook de bijzondere locaties, ruim honderd films en documentaires én de themaprogramma's maakten van dit festival weer een inspirerende belevenis. Het Shoot Me Film Festival biedt toegang tot onbekend terrein: Trespassing is allowed!
